Computer Graphics

Computer Graphics is the research domain of visual computing, where computers are utilized to generate visual images synthetically, starting from synthetic images or sampled ones from the real world.

During the last years Computer Graphics has evolved into an important research area. The results are often applied in the other research domains and vice versa including visualization for medical, scientific and technical purposes, high resolution visualization, CAD/CAM and virtual prototyping, architecture, and edu/entertainment.

EDM's research in Computer Graphics is concentrated in the next domains: image-based and video-based computer visualisation, modelling (creating digital objects), rendering (visualization of digital objects) and animation (placing and moving of objects in a time-sequence).
